New poster revealed: The Archies promises a trip to the 60s with Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, and the team

Zoya Akhtar’s directorial venture, The Archies, is generating significant anticipation on Netflix for several reasons. Firstly, it reintroduces the beloved comic to the screen, infused with an Indian twist. Secondly, it serves as the launchpad for a group of promising newcomers, including Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, and Suhana Khan, marking their entry into Bollywood. After teasing fans with hints about forthcoming updates on The Archies, the film’s creators have now revealed the poster, adding to the excitement surrounding its release.

On Monday, Suhana Khan took to her Instagram account and shared the poster of the film. The new poster, the actors are seen striking a pose on a couch against a vintage backdrop. Their impeccable style gave them an appearance reminiscent of the retro era. The poster included Agastya, Khushi, and Suhana, as well as Dot, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina, and Yuvraj Menda. Sharing the post, she captioned, “Meet the @archiesnetflix gang! Coming soon, only on @netflix_in!”

Earlier a source close to the development had informed Bollywood Hungama that the film will basically be based on the issue of deforestation. “The Archies has managed to capture the audience and the media’s attention. The teaser of the film, which featured a jungle setting, raised eyebrows and questions alike. But not many know that the jungle plays an integral part of the story of the film”, revealed the source. “In fact, the story of The Archies is centrally based on the topic of deforestation. The film is based on the said environmental issue and the protection of nature. That is the whole idea of the film, hence the setting of a jungle was used in the teaser,” revealed the source.

A musical experience bursting with youth, rebellion, friendships, first loves, and everything young adult, the film will feature the youthful energy, hope, and excitement of the sixties era. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, The Archies is co-written by Reema Kagti and Ayesha Devitre. Said to be a musical drama set in the 1960s, the film is all set to release on Netflix.
