Yash was reportedly offered the role to play Raavana on big screen opposite Ranbir Kapoor’s Ram Character in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana film.

It is now learnt that Yash has declined the role as he was advised by his team to take the decision.

Yash was very much eager to play the role. But his team have advised him to take down his decision of going ahead with the movie because according to them, Yash’s fans won’t be happy to see him play a negative role even if it is as powerful as playing a Raavan.

Yash had also told media in an earlier interview that he has to be very careful about fan’s sentiments since they are very emotional and they might tend to over-react if he goes against their will.

Ramayana film is being produced by Allu Aravind, Madhu Mantena and Namit Malhotra. Nitesh Tiwari and Ravi Udyawar are going to serve as the film director.

Ramayana movie is expected to go on floors this December or start of next year i.e. 2024. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are being considered to play a role in the movie.
